SBB Universe ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and platform to connect customers with local businesses ("Retailers"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, mobile number, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) when you register as a Customer or Retailer.
Booking information: service address, preferred date/time, and location (latitude/longitude) you choose to share when booking a service or searching "near me".
Retailer business information: business name, address, services, pricing and working hours, submitted by Retailers for their public listing.
Payment information: processed directly by Razorpay, our payment gateway partner. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details on our servers.
Payout details: Retailers and customers who opt in to receive payouts or cashback may provide a UPI ID or bank account, used solely to send payments.
Usage information: pages visited and general device/browser information, used to improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, and to process bookings between Customers and Retailers.
To show nearby businesses using your device's location, only when you choose to share it.
To process payments and, where applicable, commission settlements and cashback payouts.
To send booking confirmations, updates and support communications.
To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including preventing fraud.

3. Sharing of Information

We share booking details (such as your name, contact number and service address) with the Retailer you book with, so they can fulfil your booking. We share payment details with Razorpay to process transactions. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

Passwords are stored using PBKDF2-SHA256 hashing with a unique salt per account and are never stored or logged in plain text. Access to administrative functions is restricted by role-based permissions. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Choices

You can update your account details at any time from your dashboard.
Location sharing is optional — you can always search by state and city instead.
You can request deletion of your account by contacting us (see below).

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

SBB Universe is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
